OMNIO Local Channel

Connect local sales channels and custom order sources in one place

The OMNIO Local Channel lets you bring orders from local sales, retail, POS, phone orders, and custom sources into OmniOrders. These orders flow into the same dashboard as your Shopify, Amazon, and other channels—so you can manage, fulfill, and report on everything from one system.

The OMNIO Local Channel gives you a dedicated source for orders that don’t come from automated integrations—so you can track them separately, apply the right automation rules, and get accurate reporting across all your sales channels.

Offline & Retail Sales

Process walk-in sales, POS transactions, trade show orders, and retail purchases in OmniOrders.

Phone & Custom Orders

Enter phone orders, quotes, and special orders manually with full control over pricing and fulfillment.

Import from Spreadsheets

Bulk import orders from CSV or Excel when you don’t have a direct integration.

Unified Reporting

All local channel orders appear in your dashboard and reports alongside marketplace and store orders.

OmniOrders Account

You need an active OmniOrders account. The OMNIO Local Channel is available to all users.

Product Catalog

Add products to your catalog before creating orders. Orders reference products by SKU.

Fulfillment Locations

Set up at least one warehouse or fulfillment location so orders can be routed correctly.

  1. Go to Integrations

In OmniOrders, click Integrations in the main menu.

  2. Find OMNIO Local Channel

Look for OMNIO or OMNIO Local Channel in the list (under E-commerce Platforms or Communication & Utilities).

  3. Enable the Channel

Click Connect or Enable. No external credentials are needed—it’s a built-in channel.

  4. Configure (Optional)

    If settings are available, choose:

    • Default fulfillment location for local orders
    • Order numbering prefix (e.g., LOC-)
    • Any automation rules that apply to this channel
  5. Start Creating Orders

Go to OrdersNew Order and select OMNIO or Local Channel as the channel. Or use CSV import to bulk add orders.

OMNIO Local Channel focuses on orders. Products and inventory live in OmniOrders—you create or import orders that reference your existing catalog. Fulfillment updates (tracking, status) are stored in OmniOrders and can be used for reporting.

  • Order details and line items
  • Customer and shipping address
  • Payment status (manual entry)
  • Order notes and tags
  • Fulfillment status and tracking
  • Orders pull from your OmniOrders product catalog
  • Inventory deducts when orders are fulfilled (same as other channels)
  • No product sync—you manage products in OmniOrders
  • Tracking numbers (entered manually or via carrier integration)
  • Shipment status
  • Return tracking (if applicable)

Is this different from manual orders?

OMNIO Local Channel is the recommended channel for manual and local orders. It keeps them separate from other channels for reporting and rules.

Can I use automation rules?

Yes. Create rules that apply to OMNIO Local Channel—for example, route to a specific warehouse or hold for review.

Does it sync with an external system?

No. OMNIO Local Channel is for orders you create or import in OmniOrders. For automated sync, use Shopify, Amazon, or other integrations.

How do I report on local sales?

Filter reports by channel (OMNIO Local) to see sales, fulfillment, and performance for local orders only.

Problem: Orders show a different channel or no channel.

Solutions:

  • When creating orders, explicitly select OMNIO or Local Channel in the Channel field
  • For CSV imports, ensure the channel column maps to OMNIO Local
  • Check that the integration is enabled under Integrations

Problem: Rules don’t run for local channel orders.

Solutions:

  • Edit the rule and add OMNIO Local Channel (or equivalent) to the channel filter
  • Verify the rule is active and conditions match your orders
  • Check rule order—earlier rules may take precedence

Problem: OMNIO Local Channel doesn’t appear in the list.

Solutions:

  • Refresh the Integrations page
  • Contact support—availability may vary by plan
  • Look for “Local Channel” or “OMNIO” under E-commerce Platforms

  1. Use Consistent Channel: Always select OMNIO Local when entering manual or local orders
  2. Set Order Prefix: Use a prefix like LOC- so local orders are easy to spot
  3. Map Locations: Assign a default fulfillment location for local orders in settings
  1. Separate Reporting: Keep local sales in their own channel for accurate analytics
  2. Apply Rules: Use automation to route local orders to the right warehouse
  3. Import in Batches: When importing CSV, validate a few rows first before bulk import
